Because many of the DW's staff don't own their own home, or find it too difficult to commute between the prison and their homes- can you imagine the traffic- the prison has its own chamber for them to call their own: the Staff Quarters. Similarly to the workings of the inmates cells, the rooms vary in size, mostly depending on how many cast points the employee has. Generally, everyone starts with small apartment-like rooms supplied the bare essentials.
