[atrb=border,0,true] wicked little things the year is 2024, and it has been ten years since the great tokyo earthquake ravaged japan, sinking seventy percent of the tokyo prefecture, and leaving thousands dead and many more missing; it is regarded as the worst natural disaster to ever occur on japanese soil. families were displaced and the surviving residents were, expectedly, swiftly moved out area, spread across the rest of the country. the expected cost to rebuild tokyo were staggering, and to many, it seemed as though one of the most recognized areas of japan would never return to its former glory. that is, until deadman wonderland! less than a year after the horrifying quake, a well-known, eccentric billionaire, proposed the 'tokyo revival project', and decidedly took on the brunt of the project himself: together with his assistants, and some aid from the government, he officially opened deadman wonderland, both a functioning prison and amusement park, in the year 2015. to date, the prison itself has exceeded the proposed rebuilding cost for the entire tokyo prefecture. and how could it not? a popular tourist spot, where the attractions and events are all held and hosted by the prisons inmates-though it is completely safe, of course- the park is filled nearly every day with travelers from all around the world. but amidst the success of DW, there are whispers- conspiracies. there are some who believe that the great tokyo earthquake was no natural disaster, that the prison owner, himself had somehow managed to cause the fatalities that left many people broken. there are reports from several who claim to have witness a man clad in bloodied, red robes and chains in the tokyo area during the time of the disaster. and there are some who believe that, deep within the bowels of deadman wonderland, there are those special few who made contact with the redman, and that they are being held prisoner for the abilities he gave them. of course, the only people who believe these crazy theories are crazy. psychotic, right? well, maybe not... the lunatic parade starts now. welcome to deadman wonderland! |
